Value

The board alone is worth the ticket

Boards like the one you will build sell for $65–$95 on my website — and that is just the finished board, delivered.

At this workshop, for $75 — or $65 early bird — you get that board and everything that comes with learning to make it yourself:

  • •A full practice board that serves 4–6, built by you and boxed to take home
  • •A mini pumpkin cheese ball centerpiece you finish yourself
  • •A cheat sheet with the layout, amounts and shopping list, so you can remake the same board for Thanksgiving Day
  • •Two hours of hands-on teaching — salami roses, cheese styling, placement, color and the little finishing touches that make a board look expensive
  • •Every ingredient, tool and supply included. You just show up.

Your Board

What you will build

On your board

  • •Four cheeses: Gouda, brie, BellaVitano and sharp cheddar
  • •Two meats: prosciutto ribbons and sliced salami, folded and fanned
  • •Fresh and seasonal: red grapes, strawberries and apples
  • •Savory and crunch: Castelvetrano olives, crackers and cashews
  • •A sweet finish: dried apricots or cranberries, chocolate almonds, and honey in a mini jar with a dipper

In the center: a mini pumpkin cheese ball — I demo one at the start, then you finish your own and build your board around it.

Your board serves 4–6, so it is a real appetizer for Thanksgiving week, a hostess gift, or dinner for the house that night — your call.

The Afternoon

How it runs

No experience needed. No shopping. No prep.

Workshop students building their charcuterie boards at the class tableA beautifully finished student charcuterie board from a Classy Snacks workshop
1:30 PM

Doors open. Find your station: board, slicing mat, tools and ingredients are already laid out for you.

2:00 PM

We start with the centerpiece. I build a mini pumpkin cheese ball start to finish so you can watch every step, then you finish your own.

Then we build

Together, step by step, you style the cheeses, fold the salami, ribbon the prosciutto and fill in with fruit, olives, nuts and sweets. I am walking the room the whole time, helping and answering questions.

4:00 PM

Box it up. Your finished board goes home in a take-home box, with your cheat sheet tucked in so you can remake it on Thanksgiving Day.

Come on your own, bring a friend, or make it a girls' afternoon — everyone builds their own board at their own seat.

Your Host

Hi, I'm Lola

I'm Lola Rose, owner of Classy Snacks Charcuterie & More here in Las Vegas. I build boards and grazing tables for parties, weddings, open houses and celebrations across the valley — and in this workshop, I teach you exactly how I do it.

No secrets and no gatekeeping: the same cheeses, the same styling tricks and the same cheat sheet I use for my own orders. You will leave with a board you are proud to put on the table — and the confidence to make the next one on your own.

FAQ

Good to Know

Do I need any experience?

None at all. This workshop is built for beginners. If you can slice cheese and follow along, you can build this board — and I am there to help at every step.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself. Boards, tools, slicing mats, ingredients, the take-home box and the cheat sheet are all provided and included in your ticket.

How big is the board I take home?

Your practice board serves 4–6 people. It is a full board, not a sample — the same size range as boards that sell for $65–$95 on my website.

Will it still be good for Thanksgiving?

The workshop is Sunday, November 22 and Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. Keep your board refrigerated, and use your cheat sheet for the freshest finish: it shows you the layout and amounts, so many guests enjoy their board that weekend and remake a fresh one for Thanksgiving Day.

Can I come with a friend?

Please do. Each ticket is one seat and one board, so book one ticket per person and you can sit together.

What if I can't make it after I book?

Your seat is transferable — you are welcome to send a friend in your place. Just let me know the name change at lola@classy-snacks.com so their station is ready for them.

Is there food I should worry about?

The board includes dairy, nuts (cashews), cured meats, crackers (gluten) and honey. If you have an allergy, email me before you book at lola@classy-snacks.com and I will tell you honestly what can and cannot be adjusted.

Where do I park / where is the room?

West Charleston Library, 6301 W Charleston Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. We are in the conference room — doors open at 1:30 PM for our 2:00 PM start.
